The settlement rules.
The agreement, funding and recovery conditions in one place.
What a plan records
Owe stores a proposed set of native-BNB net balances. Positive balances receive BNB and negative balances provide it. The balances must sum to zero, and the creator must be a wallet with a nonzero net position. A plan supports 2 to 24 participants.
The app hashes the original obligations and optional note. The contract records that commitment and the net balances, not the private note. Wallets and net amounts remain public onchain.
Agreement and exact funding
Every participant acknowledges the fixed net amounts. Each debtor deposits their exact principal plus the reserved fee. Acknowledgement itself transfers no principal. Funding of a different amount is rejected.
The contract checks the agreement and funding conditions. It does not verify whether the underlying offchain obligations are true. Review every wallet and amount with the group before acknowledging.
Final settlement
Anyone can settle before the funding deadline when all participants have acknowledged and all debtors have funded. Settlement credits each creditor’s net amount and credits the reserved fees to the immutable treasury. Settlement is final.
Each wallet withdraws its own available credit to a nonzero destination. A failed withdrawal preserves the credit, and a wallet can choose another destination that accepts BNB.
Cancellation and recovery
Any participant can cancel a plan before settlement. At or after its funding deadline, anyone can cancel. A cancelled plan cannot settle. Each funded debtor then claims the full principal and reserved fee into their withdrawal balance and withdraws it. Network gas already spent is not refundable.
Deadlines
Deadlines use blockchain timestamps. Acknowledgement, deposits and settlement require a timestamp strictly before the deadline. Cancellation after the deadline is permissionless. No automatic transaction runs when time expires.
Contract design
There is no upgrade mechanism, price oracle, credit facility or administrator function for taking participant deposits. These constraints do not eliminate contract or wallet risk. Development tests are evidence of tested behavior, not an independent audit.
Terms and risks
Use only obligations that your group has agreed to settle. Another participant may reject a plan until it settles. Transaction ordering, delayed inclusion, network outages, compromised wallets, incorrect addresses and contract defects may cause loss or delay.
BNB prices can change. Owe does not validate legal debts, extend credit, provide insurance or promise returns. A separate project token grants no product rights or income by default. The website never requests private keys.
Shared links
A shared link includes its contract and network. If those differ from the current configuration, the app blocks it instead of opening an unrelated plan with the same number.
